I was watching a documentary about crash-test dummies when the narrator unleashed this terrifying stat:

‘A 30mph crash produces G-forces of up to 30 times the crash-test dummy’s weight.’

From there came ‘Batman’, and the image of the blindfolded man oblivious to the executioner behind.

We shot all day in a warehouse on the outskirts of London. The original ‘Batman’ decided to quit three days before filming, luckily Angus, the producer, found a replacement in the nick of time.
